Balletomania originally opened in 2001 in Red Hook NY with the goal of providing high quality dance wear to the community. Since that time Balletomania expanded to the Poughkeepsie area, and has striven to provide the same service and quality to the dance community.

As of 2025 Balletomania has undergone some exciting changes with Master Fitter and Professional Dancer Philip Marin-Nielson becoming the new owner. His experience and fresh outlook are sure to cement Balletomania as a leading source of dance wear in the region.
